So glad I found your blog! I'm a Chicago gal too, turned 50 last year, and just started writing again after a long absence. I also checked out egenerations.

Welcome aboard! eGenerations is still under construction and renovation, but I'm an official columnist there--just beginning. It's fun. I really have reinvented myself. I'm glad you're getting back to writing much earlier than I did. Writing is not the road to riches (unless you're as popular as Stephen King), but it brings its own rewards.
